The Future.

In the 2nd quarter of 2001, a large container terminal is expected to be completed on the site of the ECB Group under the name of U.I.S. (United Intermodal Services). In this terminal, which has a storage capacity for nearly 1,000 containers of 20’, 25’ and 40’, there is fully automated container handling. With this terminal, the ECB Group aims to serve the intermodal transporter, as well as the shippers and recipients that are looking for temporary, high-quality storage for valuable goods.

As you can see, the ECB Group continues to invest in your future.

The Past.

Europe Container Repair BV and Europe Container Rental BV lie at the foundation of what the ECB Group has become. It all began in the early 1970s when Europe Container Repair BV established itself in Rotterdam as a depot for the repair and storage of sea containers. Europe Container Rental BV quickly followed. This company specialised in container leasing and, for almost twenty years, was the agent in the Benelux for the American leasing company Trans Ocean Leasing. Container sales quickly became an important part of the company’s activities. In the 1980s the company entered into collaboration with Gordijn Transport of Rijswijk in the area of local container leasing. By then the activities had further expanded and in 1990 a reorganisation took place. The result of the reorganisation was an effective ECB Group with a number of operating companies focused on providing high-quality services to container users.
